Jota – a personal presentation
Hi Jota, tell me, what was the best projection mapping you have seen so far?
Jota: It is “Life seen” projection mapping. It was screend at the Genius Loci Weimar Festival 2017. Artist: Studio Desilence.
Mit ihrer großartigen Projektion am Cranachhaus schuf das Studio Desilence eine kunsthistorische Reise durch die Epochen…
And why specifically this?
Jota: I chose this because it is very original, not because of technology but contentwise, another fact that surprised me is that the studio once bought equipment from us.
During your last visit to a trade fair, what impressed you the most ?
Jota: It was the installation of the “Panasonic” stand during the ISE Amsterdam last February (2018). What impressed me the most was their tracking sensor and creativity.
In what way must a beamer be created so it can perfectly fulfil the needs of the mapping artist, what can you tell us out of your own experience?
Jota: The perfect matching would have perfectly. Matching, Ansi lumens and optics. The one thing I can say is that one doesent go without the other: not content without the projector/not the projector without the content.
Where are you heading to for your next mapping, in which locations?
Jota: For mapping I will be traveling to Cochabamba BOL. together with Visual. com (BOL), United Vj (BR) and Rebeam (DE) for the opening and closing ceremony of the 2018 south american Football games.
Wich projector do you personaly have at home?
Jota: Well, I have three: Christie DS+300, DEll S320, Sony MP-CL1
Are you in favour of watching the “World Cup” at home with a home cinema projector or are you planning to visit the different public viewings around the city?
I prefer watching at home, however with a large projector so that I can watch the games on my neighbours wall! for exampel using a Panasonic PT-DZ6700 or PT-DZ770 😉
